The effect is also temporary as long as they are not struck 5 times. If they are struck 5 times, the madness level stays for a duration decided by the character's owner.

Character Synopsis

Sakura has been held hostage in Hueco Mundo for a very long time. She's spent most of her years in darkness, knowing little more than the pain caused by her captors when she did not meet their standards. Though gentle in nature, Sakura's mind has seemingly broken. In reality, her inner hollow often takes control of her mind as a coping mechanism for stress, fear, and pain. She has had no real training, and her only abilities are to hack and slash with her zanpakuto. She is in desperate need of guidance, though she fears being near people.
