Saionji-family Haori: Suzuka, despite not having a speck of blue blood in her, owns a 100% genuine Saionji-family haori. It belonged to her "adoptive" father, and she will fight anyone (even J.) for it. It's hers. You can't have it.
Maple stick: The most unassuming item is perhaps her most threatening. She owns a well-polished maple stick. It's old, and it was once pretty. It's now marred with teeth marks. She's used it and she's used it on others. For what? For biting down when she's healing.

Trained Abilities:
Hohō: Surpisingly, Suzuka is one of the few people capable of performing a variant of Shunpo called Hanpo (半歩; Half-step). Hanpo is performed exactly like a normal Shunpo, but as one lands from the very first step, they immediately use a second step to return to the initial location. This appears to be a small flicker to the untrained eye, and it's useful in making opponents believe a strike will hit. In short, Suzuka is good at extremely short-distance usage of Shunpo, but her long-distance Shunpo lacks in comparison.
Zanjutsu: Suzuka was trained extensively in Zanjutsu as a child. Her father was once a Lieutenant in the Gotei 13, which is how he met Ryuusei Saionji. Her father was an excellent swordsman, and he made sure that Suzuka was able to defend herself against whatever threats she came across.
Kaidō: Suzuka is also skilled enough in Kaidō to be called a battlefield doctor. She's more along the type that is capable of making sure you don't die, but you might lose a couple of toes in the process. A little imbalance is better than dying, right? Unfortunately, her Kaidō doesn't have any analgesic properties, so it hurts a lot. It's why she carries around a thick maple stick with a lot of teeth marks on it. It's clean though. She promises.
Hakuda: She's a small girl. She can do a barroom brawl OK, but she's not going to be good with actual fighting. She has skill, sure, but her size and stature doesn't allow her to really express it properly.
Kidō: Suzuka was unable to really master Kidō. Her father focused on making sure she'd be able to fight while armed and in a pinch. In his mind, Kidō was too time-consuming unless you dedicated yourself to it. It's why he was not a Lieutenant of the Fifth Division.

Shikai Abilities: Sandanzuki, when released, has three blades. The first two blades are layered over the initial blade and are hollow. They are attached to the first blade by a reishi chain from the bottom of the outer blade to the tip of the inner blade. It's effectively a three-sectioned-staff but with a blade instead. She can retract them with a specific flick of her wrist.

Character Synopsis

Suzuka is the sole survivor of her family. She was taken in by Ryuusei Saionji, one of the members of a branch family of the Saionji. This man was a friend of her father's, and he had arrived too late to save his friend from his fate. Ryuusei took Suzuka in and raised her as much as he could. Ryuusei had kept many secrets about the murder of her family from her, but on his deathbed he left her two things—a letter explaining it all and his family cloak with a letter of adoption tucked inside of it. Now, this letter doesn't mean that she's a Saionji. Nope, it's more like she's just the heir to some of his personal estate—mainly his Haori, his lucky pair of dice, and his meager winnings from his gambling days.

Suzuka was from the border of the Rukongai and the Shōjin. She's from a place that's far from both the Seireitei and Sayamachi, so she's got a thicker accent when she's being casual. However, she was raised by someone whose closest friend was a Saionji, so Suzuka is also versed in some manners. They might be a little old and have that backwoods charm, but they are respectful manners nonetheless. Suzuka, however, cannot keep the backwoods casual from the backwoods damsel for very long in any conversation.

Combat-wise, Suzuka isn't quite capable of taking on most Lieutenants, but she is definitely capable of taking on some seated officers. She's surprisingly good with Shunpo, but it's more wild and unpredictable than other Shinigami's forms. Due to her Zanpakutō being low-impact, Suzuka is more willing to use Sandanzuki more than other Shinigami, leaving her with a bit of a reliance on its abilities.
